1. Services Provided
24by7 Publishing provides a variety of self-publishing services, including but not limited to book editing, formatting, cover design, print-on-demand (POD) manufacturing, and global distribution. The specific services provided to you will be outlined in the package or service tier you select during checkout.
2. Intellectual Property and Copyright
2.1 Author Retains Copyright: You, the Author, retain 100% of the copyright and intellectual property rights to your manuscript. 24by7 Publishing does not claim ownership of your work at any time.
2.2 Publishing License: By using our services, you grant 24by7 Publishing a non-exclusive, worldwide license to format, print, distribute, and sell your book on your behalf, solely based on the distribution packages you have selected.
3. Author Representations and Warranties
By submitting your manuscript, you warrant and represent that:
- You are the sole author and legal owner of the work, or you have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses.
- The work is entirely original and does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property of any third party.
- The work does not contain defamatory, libelous, illegal, or highly offensive material.
24by7 Publishing reserves the right to reject any manuscript that violates these terms or poses a legal risk.
4. Payments and Royalties
4.1 Payments: All fees for publishing packages and services must be paid upfront or via the “Pay Relax” installment plan (if applicable) before the production process begins. All transactions are processed through secure, RBI-compliant payment gateways.
4.2 Royalties: Authors are entitled to 100% of the net profits from book sales, as outlined in your author dashboard. Royalties are calculated after deducting printing costs, platform fees, and distribution commissions. Royalty payouts are processed according to our standard disbursement cycle.
5. Revisions and Proofs
During the production process, you will be provided with digital proofs of your formatted interior and cover design. It is your responsibility to review these proofs carefully. Any revisions requested after the final approval may incur additional charges.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 24by7 Publishing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to lost profits, delayed publication timelines, or third-party retailer errors.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal.
